This place is pretty neat. It's located near Veteran's Blvd and Hwy 78.
It's a typical southern style mom and pop restaurant with a huge open seating area. It's cozy, but it's not dripping with atmosphere.
My wife and I both ordered steak. Although I hear their seafood is pretty tasty too. They will actually bring you different cut raw steaks out to your table and let you pick which one you want. Neat! And the steaks were delish! You won't need any steak sauce or ketchup (For GRIM!) They have plenty of flavor and are very tender. Not quite as tender as Country Inn, but pretty close. Their salad bar is very good featuring some homemade dressings. The Bleu Cheese dressing is fantastic.
For an appetizer they will bring you hush puppies, and they were good as well. This is a new restaurant and they are still working out the kinks as far as service goes, although our waitress did a very good job even though she had a lot of tables to wait on.
Don't be turned off by the amount of cars in the parking lot, the lot was full when we arrived, but we did not have to wait and it appears they have a lot more seating than they do parking spaces. How many other restaurants in Tupelo can claim that! NONE!
I was very surprised at how great the food was and was even more surprised when I got the check. It was a little cheaper than eating the same mealat most other restaurants. It's been a long time since I remember coming out of a restaurant and paying less than $35.00 for both my wife and I to eat steak. Well worth the money, I will be eating their fairly often.
