Yeah...hacked. For the last couple of days, I kept getting an antivirus warning about some wierd trojan everytime I visited the main page. Not the forums, but the main news page.

Well, I just tried the forums, and now they appear to be down as well. I'll try and update when they return as well as get some kind of official report from Bobby P.

Bobby P just confirmed that the Daily Journal website was indeed hacked. They are working on the problem. He also indicated he needed alcohol  TF |

 I was just wondering Why Hack the D/J? What good could come of that? What are they gonna do, tell the NEW's?  ? ;D Oh well maybe Bobby P. will get a New System out of this.....

Hacked, huh? Most likely the Bush administration trying to learn the identity of all the liberal posters. I'm sure Bush had something to do with it. There IS an election coming up, you know. I mean, how much more proof do you need than that?  Now the only question is: Why would Bush have the DJ hacked? Seriously, though, it would be nice, as someone else said, for BP to actually get some decent funding so he could put up some servers that would actually handle the traffic. |

But not for long .....
We had to take it down again this morning. There's a major glitch in the program that allows us to load stories to the site. Once it's resolved we'll be back up sometime today (got my fingers crossed and knocking on the nearest piece of wood).
Days like these make me wish I were back on the sidelines covering ball games for a living.
But I did get the alcohol I was wanting.

There should be a special corner of hell for hackers. I just wish our government would make it a federal crime with some stiff punishment. The damage a single person can do by hacking servers which contain personal information is unlike anything our Founding Fathers could have imagined and our judicial system is severly behind the curve.
