Yes!!!! She's been on a lot of Surrogacy websites either posing as a woman wanting to be a surrogate for couples, or as a woman looking for a surrogate. She has conned many people into thinking she would be a surrogate for them. Imagine the heartache she has caused. When she is identified, she just changes her username and poses as someone different. Have a look at www.surromomsonline.com. She is also on Webmed, Babycrowd, Adoptionplan, etc etc. She poses as different aliases on all of these forums and more and tells lies lies lies. She pretends to be either a pregnant teen wishing to give up her baby or as a potential mother wanting to adopt. Either way she is causing a lot of trouble for people and has hurt many. This is the deal...FBI has complaints but it is not over the $100,000 mark..technically they just keep the info till it reaches that dollar amount. BUT the Attorney General and or Governor have the power to request that the FBI continue with a formal investigation. We are as straight as possible with this stuff. The problem is it isn't against the law to lie on the internet nor is it against the law to recieve free items and sell it. I thought he looked stoned also. But I thought it was against the law to pose as a Katrina vicim and I thought it was against the law for her to pose as a child and beg for items. But for the FBI to arrest her she has to have taken so much money before they are interested in her activities. From the different posts she writes especially when she is upset, I'd worry about the safety of a child placed with her. She gets beside her self and doesn't make a lot of sense sometimes. I would imagine part of it stems from the fact people are looking into her postings. But since she is the one who put the posts out there she should expect people to be curious when her statements don't add up. A good example would be in January she posted she had recieved a baby on babycrowd, but on freecycle she was saying the baby would get here in Feb and then changed it to March. Then at the end of January she was asking about adopting a child. The people on there asked her what happened to the child she had recieved already. And it was things like that started people looking. |

Darkened Soul, all the boards know about her, Lee County Sherriff knows about her, and FBI in MS know about her....They have all this info plus more.....Thanks for writing letters!!!!
Joey...I having a feeling James has no clue as to what his wife is up to.

Zorro, Do you live in Tupelo also. James does not come across to me as a lie and he talks great about his wife. I know with all the things that family has been through over the last few months, it is all just shocking me, we have worked together for a couple of years and he has helped me and my family when we needed it so I can not understand this. I think Darkened Soul's comment was on the picture alone, in 99% of my pictures I am fat, so...it's all subjective.
What I want to know is why are we just NOW hearing about this? People obviously have been doing their homework, and it takes a awhile to compile much of what has been posted here. At this point, the question is what has she done that is illegal? Misrepresenting yourself on the Internet doesn't cut the mustard, but it sure does sound like this is borderline scam material. If she said she wa a Katrina victim and got money...that is one thing, but what other illegal activities is alleged here? Someone fill me in.

Joey Joey as far as I know James is not on drugs. Yes I felt bad to read that his mom passed away a few months ago. Janet posted that on one site too. I'm glad you can put a different light on the situation. A lot of people have put in a lot of work tracking all this information. But you can do part of the work type in her name and see what pops up. That is what we did. |

She changes her name so often that you can't be sure if it is her until you get really into it. |

Well I really can not say either way, I have to work and they have never did anything to me, and yes his mom suffered from cancer and I lost my mom when I was 19 and so I can imagaine how he feels and enough of that. I do not yet to understand all this and I probably want. I know they have had half her family in and out of there and its been a burden on James, that neice of hers is something else, she has those two babies and is expecting twins again so I know she worrys about that. Now she is also going to be a grandma and her sister and daughter lives there so I don't know, but as far as I am concerned is until James does something I can see then I just will have too leave it alone. Joey, no I am not in Tupelo.....I have a question for you. How is it that you just happened to join today? What brought you here? Haven't you seen her picture posted on one of the local churches not allowing her to receive any donations?
What has she done illegal?
Hmmmm .......
*Communication Fraud is illegal in some states...not sure if it is in MS.
*Posing as a surro or a birthmom and trying to solicit funds is illegal..particularly IF you are not able to have a child and are not PG
*Assuming another persons identity is illegal
*Asking for donations for a family whose house in Saltillo that burned down and the victims received no goods nor $ that is illegal
*selling items on ebay and collecting the money AND not sending the products is illegal
*offering birthmoms money is illegal and baby buying
*buying products online from others and not paying for them is illegal

You haven't heard about this because I guess everyone else was frustrated and resorted to this board in hopes of getting help from some locals. I guarentee you Sheriff Johnson and other surrounding law enforcement know.
