First of all let me say this is not a scam and it is a one time request.I am looking for help for some children for Christmas. They are not my children. The parents are not deadbeats,or anything like that. The young man is embarrased that he is without a job now and can't give his family what they need. Dad suddenly got laid off.Mom who had stayed home took on a job that just barely covers the house payment and his unemployment gets the utilities. We have been helping them when we could, but there is only so much we can do.We are on a fixed income.I just wish there were some way these kids could have a good Christmas. They did not get on the angel tree.and they don't know anything about how to get any help. If you are willing to help please PM me. BTW I do realize that there are many in this same predicament,I am just trying to get help for the ones I know about. Thank you for reading this and if you can help,God bless you.

Without passing judgement on your account of things in any way, let me say that because of the sheer volume of scams (most of which sound perfectly legit and heartbreaking) on the internet, I, personally, dismiss them all automatically as suspect. It's just like info-mercials - if they advertise it on an info-mercial I automatically suspect it is fake.

depends pnc. My sister in law was laid off from a furniture factory and hers was $120 a week. She had not worked very long. It depends on how much you have paid in and how many quarters I think. The maximum and most you can draw is $210 a week, which is roughly $840 a month, but if you have a $500 mortgage, $150 utility, $100 gas bill, phone bill, cable bill, car payment, groceries, etc., one can be hurting seriously. The holidays is no time for a child to suffer. Have a heart everyone and I encourage everyone here at TupeloForums to reach out and help one person this Holiday season. You will be blessed more than they.

I think more people would be willing to help if they were able to talk to you or the family face to face vs the anonymity of the http://WWW...it's unfortunate but alot of good folks have been burned very badly over the internet.

Well, I am sure that I've been scammed many times before, and I am not an easy target. However, as a Christian, when somebody asks me for help, I have to weigh certain factors. Has God blessed me? Do I have a few dollars to spare? How would I feel if it was my children or my grandchildren in this predicament? Christians receive their reward in blessings from God. He expects us to be good stewards of our sustenance and good Samaritans when we have a little to spare. It doesn't really take away anything from us when we already have what we need to live.
Remember, Jesus said in His Lords prayer to "give us this day our daily bread". We have no promise of tomorrow here on earth, but our promise from God to be with Him forever is better than anything we could ever hope to have here on earth. Peace to you all.

Thank you rutrow for your post. You confirm the fact for me that I am doing something right.I am not an easy target.I have more than once told people "NO",when I know they do nothing to help themselves. On the other hand,it breaks my heart when I see people who have done right become heart broken because they can't give to their kids like they deserve. That is why I posted in the first place.
