I find it interesting that all of us have a different definition of "being treated humanely". What one person thinks is just enough, another says is too much. There really is no right or wrong, just a matter of degrees (pardon the pun).

This is a little off-topic, but I'm just curious. Granny, you obviously have a heart for helping people. I wonder why you don't put your efforts more toward populations that unquestionably deserve your help. I'm thinking of places like Faith Haven children's home, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, or something like that. (Maybe you do work with these organizations too -- I don't know.)
Not a criticism, just a question.
