I have no problem with "the morning after pill" and abortions in the 1st trimester as far as from a legal standpoint. And I wouldn't want to impose my morals on anyone else. But I think partial birth abortions should be illegal (because it is murder) under all circumstances. At that point the baby is a fully developed human being and could live outside the mother's womb if given a chance.
One argument for partial birth abortion is that the mother's life might be at risk. In most cases that is simply hogwash and a loophole for doctors and mothers to murder a child. Would you kill your child to save your own life? I wouldn't.
Another argument I've heard is that partial birth abortions are rare. That is simply not true. But, even if it were true is that a reason to keep it legal? If rapes in this country became rare would you support making rape legal? How about murder? And if partial birth abortions are rare, as some say, why the uproar to keep them legal?
