OK...how's this:
"It doesn't surprise me that there's another woman. Of course, the fact that she's dead gives one pause."
and this little gem:
"He'll stick it in a bowl of soup if it's still warm."
Try that one out....no cheating....I had to rewatch part of the film to make sure I got the quotes right!

Of Mice and Men. ;D
One of the most bizarre films of the 80's gave us this plot:
Miners dig up a white substance that they soon figure out tastes good and a company is born selling it around the world. It's so good that people can't stop eating it. It is soon learned that the substance is a living, sentient organism that takes over the mind and body of anyone that consumes it.
Anyone?

Another hint:
The IN-MOVIE commercial tag line for the marketing of this goop is "Enough is never enough". And people buy it in droves as it takes over there bodies.
In one rather bizarre scene and fairly gross scene, this goop comes out of one of the characters, his mouth opens a LOT wider than normal, and it just comes pouring out.
One final hint: This was a B-movie possibly even a C-movie, but it got a wide release at the time, no one can figure out why, at the time Hollywood was a lot more picky and rarely let movies this bad into wide theatrical release.

Close, but no cigar...awwwww. The "Where's the Beef?" lady has a cameo in the movie. "Are you eating it....or is it eating you?" The movie is a satire of American consumerism. Larry Cohen, the director of this movie, also made two recent films where the protagonist is caught in a very bizarre situation for the entire film. The two movies are "Cellular" and "Phone Booth". That should be enough information to go to IMDB.com and figure out the name of this film. TFADMIN

Well Ladies, I haven't been to the movies in years and it sounds like I haven't missed much.
I do seem to recall that "The Blob" was Steve McQueen's first flick and I don't recall the scene that was mentioned.

It sounds familiar but I don't want to cheat with imdb.com.
