Streaming Council Meetings?

I'm looking to see what level of interest their is for such a thing. I sprung the Streaming Scanner as a surprise, but I wanted feedback about this before deciding where to place this in my agenda.

Basically, Tupelo City Council meetings would be archived online and available for streaming any time. I want to know what everyone thinks. The good and bad.

I would love to be able to see the meetings online, but I wonder whether my dial-up internet service would be able to handle it? I can't even watch video clips without them stopping every half-second.

Well, yeah, dial up would be a problem, but you can always download the video overnight and watch it in the morning.

Just overnight? HA. I'd have to schedule the download for a weekend...*sigh*
