I can't stop telling everyone about this service. Baen Publishing has posted a lot of their books online so you can download them for free. You can download them in lots of different compressed formats like HTML, Rocket Reader, rich text, MS Reader, and PDA formats.
Lots of them are the first book in a series, some are anthologies, but they are complete books. I used to nerd out big-time by having two or three books on my PDA and reading it. How nerdy can you get?
My favorite format is HTML, that way I can keep up with the chapters I've already read. Each chapter is on it's own webpage.
