I'll verify this from other sources to make sure it's not April Fool's ---------------------------------- videoeta.com/news/1866Frankie Muniz to take over as 'Harry Potter' Posted April 1, 2005 at 11:57 AM CST By John Couture Warner Bros. announced today that beginning with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix they will replace Daniel Radcliffe with American actor Frankie Muniz in the lead role of Harry Potter. According to spokesperson, "After watching dailies from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it became evident that Mr. Radcliffe did not have the emotional range necessary to properly portray Harry in the last three movies, which are quite darker in tone." The final casting of Muniz was made after taking into consideration the input from author J.K. Rowling, who happens to be a big 'Malcolm in the Middle' fan. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has wrapped principal photography and is set for a November 18, 2005 theatrical release. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will begin filming early next year for a late 2006 release. The sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, is due on July 16, 2005.
