I want to take this opportunity to let all members and prospective members know why we do some things different on this forum.
Some forum admins do NOT allow moderators to vocalize their opinion on any subject on any board within their forum. I, however, DO ALLOW mods to fully participate in any discussion on any board within this forum. Why? Because mods are people as well. Their opinion counts just like any member here...no more...no less.
You will see mods even disagreeing with each other here on many of the topics contained herein. And that's not a problem.
The mods here know that I ask of only one thing regarding any discussions they enter into, and that is, you may disagree with other member's/mods opinions, but they are NEVER wrong.
No one, including myself, will be using this board to spread any kind of agenda that overpowers any other members ability to freely express their opinion within the General Forum Rules. As long as I am the administrator of TupeloForums, this WILL NEVER happen.
What one person sees as an argument, another sees as a heated debate, and yet another sees it as two people disagreeing. This is what forums are for, to debate, share, and enjoy the diversity of opinions that are within our community.
Our mods main responsibilities are to ensure topics stay on track, engage people in debate, enforce the General Forum Rules (including the no personal attacks rule) and the Site Terms of Service, and that's it.
If this scenario does not appeal to your sensibilities, then this is not the forum for you. There are hundreds of thousands of other forums you are free to enjoy. Our mods are doing a great job of keeping these boards in order and I do not apologize for allowing them the opportunity to express their opinion on topics.
If you think a mod has treated you unfairly on any board here, then by all means send me an Instant Message. I'll get it resolved. But unless you come to me and tell me what the problem is, I cannot even begin to address it.
Also please note, on the left hand side on every post made their is a link "Report This Member", which sends me an Instant Message about a post a particular member or mod has made. Use it! And tell me what's going on. I will review the situation and get back to you with an answer ASAP!
