Greets all!
I'm in Louisiana for a couple of days. I have my digital camera with me and if I find anything interesting, I'll send it along. Later people!

If you are a coffee drinker and can find it try out a cup of medium roast Mello Joy. My daughter and son-in-law live in Baton Rouge and they ship it to me on occasion. Be careful and don't let the mosquitoes carry you off!

Dockvudu...thanks for the tip. Always looking for that perfect cup of Joe. The "Lovebugs" are really swarming down here. Locals say they are about to die off, judging from the looks of some of the vehicles here, I'd say they are right. I passed a black and white Cadillac today, the first third of the car was almost completely black from the crusted remains of the little buggars!

they were thick and heavy on the coast too. During mating season you never saw one of them, they were swarms of 2, one riding on the other's back. They covered everything. Nasty little critters.
How far are you from where Katrina came in? Are you seeing any damage?

I was in Port Allen, just southwest of Baton Rouge. I did not see any damage, except when I first hit I-55, lots of blown over signs and trees, etc. I debated on going through Biloxi on way down. I have my camera and wanted to see if I could get some pics, but when I hit Jackson, I decided to just skip it.
I drove back to Grenada yesterday, and I will be here for a couple of days. Man, I've already put some miles on the GrannyMobile!
