Teacher Accused Of Attacking Girl Who Removed His Cap

A teacher in Osceola County has been charged with child abuse for allegedly assaulting a girl who removed a hat from his head, according to WKMG-TV in Orlando.
Merrick Pavlick, who is an art teacher at Poinciana Elementary School, is accused of pushing the girl against a milk cooler and choking her at the school.
The girl removed a cap from Pavlick's head before the assault.
Other teachers and students witnessed the attack in the school cafeteria Tuesday, Local 6 News reported.
Pavlick is out of jail on bond.
The school is conducting its own investigation, WKMG-TV reported.
