Jeff Gordon was pitted on lap 46 for a loose tire which put him 3 laps down,but 230 laps later he had made it back into the lead lap, With 34 laps remaining he got the lead for good winning him Nextel Cup race at Martinsville. I said earlier that gor don had to start getting his act together to be able to go for the chase. well there are only 20 races left until the chase or ten race shootout to determine the Nextel Championship. This win moved him up 6 spots in the standings.
Kevin Harvic last weeks winner wasn't so lucky today as a bad clutch sent him to the garage for 64 laps and a 35th place finish.
