PBS, in their chaotic way of managing programming schedules, says that they will rebroadcast Soundstage tonight (October 8, 2005) at 11:00PM and it will feature the young English singer Joss Stone. Don't let the name fool ya, she's female. Joss sings R&B with a style similiar to Aretha Franklin, Phoebe Snow, etc. This is a well produced polished example of PBS at their best. Be sure and turn on the home theater - there is logic contouring concerning sound. Special guest is Mavis Staples. If you like Rhythm and Blues styling, this is good. Joss tends to be a little too animated for me at times and some songs sound the same. If you like the genre this should be fun to watch.
