Several months ago both me and my wife found ourselves without a job. Eventually, My wife got a temp-to-hire job through Snelling at a very prominent furniture company. I got a job with a software company out of Baton Rouge.
Lane had been asking my wife to work late...alot. She worked late yesterday which means I had to go pick up our daughter at Daycare. I left at 4:30...my wife who normally gets off at 5 was not leaving until 6 pm. Sometime between 4:30 and 5 pm, Snelling called her and told her that she no longer had a job at this company...mind you, THE COMPANY requested her to work late! What the hell?

That sounds like a crappy company to be involved with!

Did Lane not pick up the option to hire her? My husband was laid off a year and a half and we struggled everyday so I know how it is to be hunting frantically for a job any job. I'd try a different temt service.

So did she ever find anything permanent?

Yeah. She's working for a fabric company here in Tupelo. They distribute fabrics around the US including cool places like Disneyworld, and Epcot Center.

As a long time employee of the aforementioned company, I can assure you this is common practice...this usually happens around market time. It's "all hands on deck" and then, "Who are you again?" I hope your wife didn't take it personally-Lane is not a company that is known for recognizing or rewarding hard work. And how unfortunate is that? The rich get richer...
