If you're like me, you love watching videos on the Internet, especially videos posted at the fine Youtube.com site. It is addicting and time consuming, but how do we share those videos with everyone. Posting a link is fine, but what if you could post those videos WITHIN your posts? Now you can, here's the details.
Certain boards within our site are YOUTUBE ENABLED. You can see the boards that are enabled by looking at the decription on the main page. Currently the following three are enabled:
MUSIC
INTERNET AND TECH TALK
HUMOR
To embed the YOURTUBE video within your post, start a new thread or reply to a post.
In your subject line include the following to denote you have a YOUTUBE video in the post. This is a common courtesy to all of our members, so please don't forget to do this inportant step.
Next, At the very end of the POST TAGS you will see an icon like this -->
Clicking this tag will add the following to your post:
[ut][/ut]
Now look closely at the URL or address of the YOUTUBE video you want to post. The address will look something like this:
http:\\www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS5VpMB6VEA&search=computer%20help
The section in red is what you want to use within the brackets in your post. So using the address above our example would look like this:
[ut]xS5VpMB6VEA[/ut]
When you post your message, your video will load in your post automatically and people can comment accordingly.
