Anyone else watching the Nightmares and Dreamscapes series on TNT? They aired 2 of the stories tonight. I think they are doing 2 per night weekly. Not sure how many they are doing. Anyway, I recorded them. I watch the first one (the army men story) and it was awesome. Effectively creepy. My husband stated that he will never own army men again. Imagine his dismay when I informed him we have some in the attic. Mwahahaha. There was another Stephen King tv movie or series a few weeks ago I believe. Was it Regulators or one of the others? Can't remember but it was on network tv and I'm too lazy to hook up rabbit ears. (I have satellite.) Would love to know if that one was good...

The TV movie was Desperation. I didn't see it, though, so I can't comment.

I hate watching movie versions of books I've read - they are so disappointing. After I read "The Stand"(unabridged version), one of my favorite books of all time, I couldn't wait for the movie release because King himself was supposed to have creative control and promised it would follow the book. It didn't even come close to following the book. Not even close.
I can't think of a single movie I've enjoyed after reading the book. Which reminds me: I'm almost through with what I'm reading and need to go to Amazon and order something new (actually, used, since they cost much less and are like new).

I've come to realize that book adaptions are never going to be correct. However, sometimes I just feel that I must see it visualized anyway! When I go into it with low expectations, I tend to enjoy it more.
As for cheap book shopping, most of the time I find half.com has better prices than amazon (not ALWAYS).
