My wife and I just returned from Magnolia House in Guntown. It's at the intersection of Hwy 348 and 145 in Guntown. All I have to say is that the food is excellent. While not as homey as Country Inn which is right down the road, the "Date Steak" or "Steak for Two" is near perfect. I like it over the Country Inn version. And let me just say that steak was fork tender...and [glow=red,2,300]HUGE! [/glow] Oddly enough, my wife did not enjoy it that much, but Ithought it was near perfection. If you like a good steak, you cannot go wrong with Magnolia House. TFADMIN

We're going to be sans children Monday night, I'm taking her to the Olive Garden, but the thoughts of a steaak...[homer]slobber,slobber,slobber[/homer] for "two" sounds real nice..another jab at BSIGrimreaper, he would make that a steak for one..

Just up the road from me and have eaten there on several occasions. The food is good, the service is polite, prices are reasonable, portions are ample and you might want to get there early if you don't like crowds.

Yeah, we went there as the rush of people were leaving. We got seated immediately. There were a lot more vehicles in the lot than there were actual people inside...weird. TFADMIN

Grim & I have eaten there several times with his Parents and my Parents. The service there is not good. You have to beg for a refill. I don't like to go places that are like that. But, on the other hand. Their steak for 2 is good, but their french fries are Not good. Baked Potatoes are good there sometimes At Country Inn, if you order Sweet Tea, you usually don't have to worry about getting a refill; unless you are unusually thirsty. I still don't think anybody can beat Country Inn, OVERALL. BSIBetterHalf
