The Veranda

Yesterday, I had a fantastic lunch at the Veranda in Starkville. I had seen the chef on WCBI News for the last several months, and I knew that whenever I went back to Starkville, I was going to check his place out.

The atmosphere is somewhat eclectic, but it feels warm and comfy. I ordered a blackened catfish with a New Orleans Sauce, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Vardaman Sweet Potatoes. One word: OUTSTANDING!

If you're in the Starkville area, go and eat at The Veranda, you will thank me later!

i stopped at the veranda after msu beat florida last year. honestly, we didn't eat. but the atmosphere was GREAT. i never had an empty bottle and was surrounded by coaches shaking hands with us after the huge win...

kinda funny since i was an ole miss fan! lol. i did root for msu that day and was proud of the win.

also, i met rick stansbury the next day. SUPER nice guy and his wife was extreamely nice as well (not to mention on the HOT side!).

all in all, i was impressed with msu and the city of starkville that weekend.
and yes, the veranda is a good place to go!
