Wittzo was kind enough to invite me and my wife to Best Buy for their Friends and Family Tour Thingamabob.
I have been to a lot of Best Buys over the years, and while this is not the superstore I was used to, it certainly is not a watered down version either.
I have a feeling that I will be making a lot of trips there, I also have a feeling Wittzo had better be careful buying the place up or he may find some divorce papers stuffed in his mouth one morning...heh!
It really is sweet, and although some things are hard to find, like the DVD players, other things slap you in the face, can anyone say XBOX games and DVD's! They are located front and center.
Anyway, I would encourage anyone looking to buy any electronics anytime soon stop by and ask for Wittzo...I mean Witt. He's da man wid da plan!

They did the demographics thing so they put in a good mix of stuff to try to match their inventory with what people buy here. BB is extremely flexible and they will implement ideas on the spot. If there's a market for products, they'll stock it. Go to bestbuy.com and "weekly ad" is highlighted on the top left, right next to "store locator", it will give you the same ad that came in the papers Sunday. All I gots to say about my buying habits is: real good discount and 48 month financing to make Magnolia not show her real ultimate power and flip out and kill someone ninja-style...

So help me if you buy something that requires 48-month financing.......... We don't need any piece of electronic equipment that should be financed- especially for 4 freakin' years!

If you come by this Saturday, you may here a boom-boom in the parking lot. I'm thinking about havig a subwoofer installed in my car at BB. Actually, I really do not want to rattle the doors, but XM Radio is spoiling me silly and sometimes, you just have to turn up the BASS.

My son has glass paks on his truck along with a subwoofer and amplifier. I can hear him coming a mile away. Really, its true!! He doesn't quite believe me. I gotta admit, depending on what kind of music is being played, it does sound good. But if you got some music in there that you don't like, then it is just torture to listen.

If it's done to enhance music that's fine. I had two 12" subwoofers in my Eclipse when I had it with a 1500 watt amp. I could be heard from two miles away or so. I could park, in the garage and rattle stuff off the shelves on the other side of the house. But just because I could doesn't mean I did. I always used mine at a low volume with everything balanced to sound good. There's nothin' quite like some good sounding Corrosion of Conformity. =)
What I really, really, REALLY dislike are the people that do something like that and then blare the most hideous sound I've ever heard and drive around like they've got something so awesome goin' on. I guess the same would go for people that drive the Monte Carlos that're lifted off the ground about six inches with chrome rims and low profile tires. I mean... wtf is wrong with them?

I'm gonna brag here a sec. If you ever...and I mean EVER need any kind of car audio stuff done to your car. Go see Lee at Best Buy. He has done work on my car twice now. Very professional polished work. The amp I got is huge, and without me asking, he mounted it under the upper deck so he could save me room in trunk.
I bought a 10" Rockford Fosgate P2 Punch Sub, a box to put it in and a Kenwood 300 Watt Amp. It sounds wonderful, the sound system in my car is complete. Listening to XM is now off the charts. This is exactly what I was missing with my OK factory stereo, just enough bass to fill it out.
Now, did I try to blow the doors off, yes, I did. I tuned into XM's RAW channel (Rap and R&B) amd this thing can rattle some serious glass if I want it too. I don't, I just want it to sound good and occasionally FEEL some of the music I like. What's cool is that when my windows are rolled up, all doors closed, you can barely hear the sub outside, but get inside, and it just gives you enough punch in the seat and chest to make me smile.
I could have wimped out and bought the package special, but I knew I wouldn't get what I was really wanting. When I explained it to Lee, he knew EXACTLY what I wanted and pulled no punches in telling me how to get it and what it would cost. This sub is very musical, clean, and tight. Yes it can do the BOOM BOOM. But it does a much better job filling in the low end on Rock, Metal, Drum and Bass, and a little Blues.
The cool thing about buying all this from Best Buy is that in a couple of years I will trade the car out for another used vehicle, they will uninstall everything I bought from them and reinstall the factory stereo and configure things back to normal for FREE!
Of course they I will have to pay them an installation fee to put it into the other vehicle, but if LEE does the work, I will gladly pay. He is the man.
