Hey all you gooberish chowhounds,
I have gone to eat twice to Olive Garden, once with
my wife & my best friend & his Wife. Then I took
my wife there on Valentines Day. The first time
the only complaint was the wait time (1:15) & we had to ask for our salad (I didn't care I hate salad).
The 2nd time I got there at 4:41pm was told there was
a 1:15 min wait, I called my wife, she got off at 6:00pm
so it sounded perfect. They gave you a pager that
vibrates & lights up, I waited... & waited. My Wife
came & meet me & we waited. Finially at 6:30 I got in line to see the hostess & ask how much longer, when I finially got to her it was 6:41! 2 hours since they took my name. They looked me up & told me that they had paged me at 5:51. Whatever! I had the pager in my hand the whole time that I was waiting. They said they
were sorry & told me to get my wife & they would seat us then.
Even with that somewhat bad experience, I still rate there service A+, since they have opened they have had Managers, shift leaders & head waiters/waitress
from other top stores teaching & helping with the service. On both ocassions we went we meet a store
shift leader from Memphis & head waitress from Florida
store that were EXTREMELY nice & Knew exactly what we needed each time, I never had to ask for a refill.
If you are not doing anything this weekend, I would check them out, it was (as my favorite Food network show says) Good Eats. ;D

PS. Be sure to check your watch when you sign in & check back with the hostess when your time is up, in case your beeper does not work like mine didn't on Valentine's Day. ;D
