Location: Tupelo Date/Time: 07/29/06 9:30pm Rating: 4- Great Recommend?: YES Review: Wittzo, BSIGrimreaper, and myself had a boys night out and had supper at the Lob. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.
I ordered the Salmon with Steamed Vegetables. It was much better than I expected. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the spice and herb rub accentuated the Salmon perfectly. The steamed veggies were also notable. Steamed just enough to maintain flavor and slight crispiness.
I had the Key Lime pie for dessert and WOW! It was actually palatable!
The mood was atypical for Red Lobster, although we had a very "cheeky" hostess who kept coming back to our table for some reason and just sitting and talking with us. Final Word: Overall, much improved from my last visit over a year ago.

2 years ago I took my daughter for her "last supper" (lol) before her baby was born. She was having a c-section so she knew the date and was to enter the hospital at daylight the morning after, so I treated her anywhere she wanted to go and she chose Red Lobster. The food was very good and the service even better. It is a must do again, however, for some reason my daughter says the smell of seafood makes her sick now that she has had the baby and no one else in the family eats it, so I don't get to go anymore.

I haven't eaten there for a while. I became allergic to shellfish so I've eaten at other places. It sounds like you all had fun.

i went this past sunday.
first of all... we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated (which wasn't a problem, i expected that) BUT... when we walked through to be seated,,,, empty tables EVERYWHERE. i asked why the wait when empty tables were around and was told it was b/c lack of enough waiters/waitresses to cover them. well... that's bad management imo. i've heard that's become normal at red lobster, but since that's the first time i've gone in 10 years, i can't say.
on to ordering. i ordered the fried platter. waitress comes back "we're out". i asked "out of what, so i don't order the part you're out of". she replied "i don't know, the screen just tells me we're out of something on that order". ummmm, ok. so, i order the admiral platter... guess what "we're out". THIRD attempt to order... i did a "create your own".... silly me, i ordered salmon. guess what, "we're out of salmon". after the FOURTH attempt to order, i finally got to friggin eat.
i hope the trucks run on monday... i dunno if i'll ever go back. i mentioned we should get some kinda discount and the waitress handed us a survey saying we'll get $4 off (our NEXT visit) if we go online and fill it out. ummmmmm, no thanks.
i'm guessing grim, tf, and wittzo ate everything in the danged house! lol.
