Hah! I knew that would get your attention. So....
Some of you have probably noticed the little "TF BUCKS" line in your profile. If you look just under your reputation score, you should see it. It wll look something like:
TF BUCKS: $1234
This is Forum Money, it has no real-world cash value, but you aquire this forum money by posting. Every post you make increases your TF BUCKS by $2.00, look at the number of posts you have, multiply by two and voila', TF BUCKS.
TF BUCKS works kind of like gaining points. The more you post, the more BUCKS (points) you get.
"What good is it to have all of these TF BUCKS if I have nothing to spend it on?"...good question...wait, am I asking myself questions? ahhhh....anywaaaay, on our main page way down in the lobby, there is a new board called, TF Shopping Center. It's not open...YET, but it will be in the VERY NEAR FUTURE. The Shopping Center will have all kinds of goodies for you to spend your BUCKS on.
There will be forum specific items, like custom titles, avatars, and other things that will be used on the forum. There will also be PRIZES! We will have things like DVD's, Coffee Mugs, T-Shirts, and many other items for our members.
Plus we might have a few HIGH VALUE ITEMS, like electronics. But we are getting ahead of ourselves here. You must post, contribute, and most importantly, HAVE FUN.
Bonus TF $'s will be awarded from time to time by participating in contests and other forum activities. Referring new members may earn you some serious $'s. You may also share your TF $'s with other members. By sending me a PM and telling me how many to deduct from your account and add to another member's account.
There's a lot more to this system, and I will spill all the details in the Tutorial forum when we are ready to open the Shopping Center.
As it stands right now, everyone is just accumulating $'s, and when we open the Shopping Center, you may then do what you will with the $$$'s you have! So get to posting, and earn those TF BUCKS!
