Where would you go for a special night? Like an anniversary... Hmmm...great question! We don't have a real "intimate" dining experience in Tupelo, at least none that I recall. Gloster 205 came close, but I'm not even sure they are in business any longer. Harvey's would be a good choice. They have excellent chefs on staff. TFADMIN

I've never been to Harvey's so we will try there. All the restruants I've been to for the last 23 years have been kid friendly.

Hello all! Great suggestions so far! Please consider IV's on Industrial Rd. or Park Heights next to Jefferson Place. Call them for a reservation and tell them you are coming for that occaision. They will place you somewhere nice. These are the new "Gloster 205" type restaurants. You will love either.
Have a great time!!!!

My husband and I like The Veranda in Starkville. We're from Tupelo, but we have found the best places to eat with cozy atmospheres and great service are in Starkville or Columbus. I guess it's because they are college towns, but it's easier and less expensive for aspiring chef's to start there own restaurants there.
Tupelo is wierd, having lived here most of my life, I can say that. Classy restaurants for special occasions are almost non-existant.

Hello everyone! Tupelo n00by here, nice to meet y'all. I don't really have a review to offer but a nice affordable place to go for a special night is Vanelli's. But make sure you tell them what you're there for and ask them to seat you towards the back of the restaurant. They have separated, partitioned booths against the back wall with nice lighting and a nice private feel. The food and drinks are good and sometimes they even have a man to come by your table and play an italian love song for you on his accordion

As the chef on staff, anytime I can do anything for anyone, let me know. I try my best, along with my kitchen employees, to make sure your dining experience is great!

I love Harvey's. They have the best prime rib ever.

Currently, there is NOT a review for Harvey's in our new Review Database. Someone should visit and post a review. That would exclude Krisco, since he works there. TFADMIN

Harvey's is the ONLY restaurant I've been to that has NEVER served me a bad meal or given me bad service. When my wife and I want to go somewhere special we go to Harvey's. When the company I work for has an important visitor we take them to Harvey's. If someone is trying to woo us and want our business and they take us to lunch we EXPECT them to take us to Harvey's.
I want a plate of mushrooms just thinking about it and I haven't even had breakfast yet.
