TupeloPulse.Com New Vision **NEED INPUT**

Please, give me your thoughts below. I'd like to know what major Hot Button topics you would like to discuss on the forum, and your general first impression thoughts about this new direction for the site.

Tupelopulse.com will be reopening Sunday, October 1st, 2006.

Tupelopulse.com started as a political only forum earlier this year, and was closed shortly thereafter to find a new, different direction. For the last several months, I have been working on it's new direction.

I have spoken with many people from our forum here as well as DJournal.com to hone in on where to take TupeloPulse. The response was overwhelming.

TupeloPulse.com will now focus on religious issues that affect our community. After all, we do live in the Bible Belt, and religion in one form or another affects most of us in our daily lives, whether you are a believer or not.

TupeloPulse.com will have several boards with topics geared to encourage debate about issues such as abortion, Separation of church and state, creation vs evolution, and others. These issues are both timely, and timeless.

Tupelopulse.com will also feature general religious boards with discussions about worship, prayer, and scriptural beliefs, and doctrines.

This format will be handled from a non-proselytizing stand point. Meaning I, nor the moderator's will encourage or discourage any one person's beliefs, or views on any subject contained on the forum.

More information about what Tupelopulse.com will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned and PM any comments.

I think it is a great idea! Religion and belief systems are a hot topic. Everybody has a different viewpoint and who is the one to say who is right? Only God. But it will be very interesting.

I took the announcement off...please try again. You have to vote in the General Gossip Forum. Some forums, I have disabled polls. The announcement thing does not work properly for polls. This should fix it.

I look forward to reading the religious forum. It's a great ideal. A topic we all have an opinion about. I would be interested in learning how many folks in our area (Tupelo, Lee County) attend church, how often, and which religion. I would also be interested in hearing from folks who do not attend church and why.
