Help I need a good recipe for Tomato Gravy. can anybody help me?

This is how I do mine Bmj.
3 large tomatoes 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup self-rising flour 1 cup water 1/2 cup milk Salt and pepper to taste Peel and cut tomatoes into a bowl, reserving the juice. In a sauce pan, melt butter; add flour and stir until browned. Gradually add water. Stir in tomatoes and juice. Add milk, salt and pepper; simmer for 15 minutes. Serve over hot biscuits. Makes about 3 cups gravy, enough for about 10 biscuits.

BTW..Beastman If you type in "Tomato Gravy" in the chef2chef searchbox above, you will get a bunch of different recipes....they all look yummy!

My recipe is similar to granny's but I add the milk before the tomatoes.
