I love to grill out steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. And I much rather use charcoal than gas. The food just has a better taste to me.

I mostly grill burgers, wieners, Polish sausages, and steaks. I occasionally grill kebabs. The most "exotic" thing I grilled once was some Cornish game hens spitted over an open fire with some taters thrown right into the coals. We were at an SCA event. We washed it down with some lemonade flavored with Key lime juice served out of a beeswax-lined barrel. It was awesome. The lemon wedges had soaked over the weekend in all that sugar, they tasted like candy. Some people had a pig they had been roasting over a fire for a few days. They took turns rotating it, slicing it as it cooked. I use gas, but I have ceramic bricks lining my grill so it flavors the meat some. Propane is God's gas.

I can cook anything on the grill. Steaks, burgers, hotdogs, sausage, potatoes, veggeies... I've even slow cooked a roast on the grill once. Shrimp on the grill is heaven sent if you season it right.
My favorite, though, is a nice juicy steak with a 'foil pack'. In the pack I put potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and onion. Salt and pepper and a little butter and slow cook it on the top rack. Man is that ever good.
Oh, and I use propane only because I'm too lazy to mess with charcoal.... but if you take some dampened hickory shavings and mix it with the same amount of dry shavings, wrap it in foil and poke holes in it with a fork then stick it under the rack in your propane grill you can still get that same charcoal taste.

Aye, your making it into a smoking grill. I've always read about grilling packs and seen them on TV, but never tried it. This summer I will, though. I gots to get the Blue Rhino to fill up my tank...

Yeah, basically turning the grill into a smoker. Works for giving more flavor to food cooked over propane. At least on my grill. I haven't the fancy ceramic tiles or anything. At times, though, I've been known to use just a tiny bit of liquid smoke in marinades as well.

We cook a lot on the grill. I love to cook deer on there and roasts too. We use the foil pack also to cook in. I've never used a gas grill because my husband built us a grill about 8 years ago that is huge. You can put nearly a full meal on it. The smaller grills took forever with all these kids and their friends. I think corn on the cob is my favorite veggie on there, besides potatoes.

Oh yeah, grilled corn on the cob is the best... right up there with grilled onions and mushrooms. Grilled Walleye is fantastic too. Just have to be careful when you cook the cheeks. They tend to burn/dry out real fast.

Coming to the end of Lent, I've really missed meat so I'm hankering for pretty much anything made out of a dead animal's flesh. ;D But mostly, I'm looking forward to getting a box of Big Sam steaks from Schwan's, marinating them in Dale's and grilling them to juicy pink perfection then cutting them with a fork and eating them.
