BSIGrimreaper gave me TFAdmin's recipe and I just grilled some. It took time to recover from them, they were so good!
They are definitely a kid-friendly recipe, you'll get gooey while making them.
The proportions given to me: 3 lbs of ground beef 1 lb of sausage Dale's marinade Sprinkle with garlic salt while grilling
Knead the pork and beef together some. Add some Dale's marinade and mix well.
Grim uses mild maple-cured sausage. I couldn't find any maple-cured sausage at Kroger so I just squirted some low-carb maple syrup in it while the kids were kneading. I also mixed in a couple of eggs to hold it together. It worked perfectly. To offset the high-fat of the pork, I used 80% ground chuck. I didn't have any garlic salt, so I just sprinkled garlic powder on them.
They were perfect. I had a half-size patty that came off the grill first. My daughther and I volunteered as taste testers. It was hard to keep from eating the rest of them before they got on the bun... ;D
TFAdmin, I salute you!

That gooberhead forgot some things:
One small onion -- finely chopped. 8 large pieces of cooked bacon -- crumbled into small pieces.
The above two items should go in immediately when you start kneeding all the meat.
Optional items:
1 cup of schredded cheese (pick any you want but Mozarrella is awesome)
Instead of Garlic Salt, for an extra kick, use 3 teaspoons of Garlic Spread (You'll find it in the Produce section) Use the broiled kind for extra goodness.

I can feel the fat creeping to my hips as I read this one - it sounds really good - do u add the cheese to the mixture, or is it a topping?

Oh and what is the Dales marinade, is that something I buy, or is it an additional recipe?

Dale's marinade is a bottle of marinade and really good we use bottle after bottle of the stuff. Any grocery store has it

Dale's kicks butt 10 ways to Sunday, if used in moderation. Too much Dale's makes it way to salty for my taste. Cheese is added to the mixture. If you grill these, keep an eye on it. With that sausage in the mix, it won't take long for you to have little charcoal pieces sitting on your grill. Keep the fire really low or off, these suckers will flame up otherwise. They are delicious, and the only contribution I may ever really give to society. TF

I made these for lunch today - my husband thought they were very good! Me too! My mouth was watering just mixing them up they smelled good - we sampled the first 2, and I went to light with the dales marinade and garlic butter, so I added a bit more of each, and then they were perfect - my kids ate 2 each - we topped them with some fried mushroons and spinich and more mozarella cheese - mmmmuuummmmmm gooooddddd!!!!!!!!!
I like that dales stuff, I am going to add a little into my deer sausage mix and see how that comes out. Anyhow, thanks for a terrific recipe!!!!!
