This forum is dying. It may be that it just isn't any fun. It's just too SLOW to get into it. Way too many steps, way too many subjects, and FAR-FAR-FAR too many MODERATORS.

Tupelo Forums is a D-R-A-G. Of course it is like home to a few, for you few, ENJOY.

You are right, it is SLOW. And I would suggest that it will probably continue to be slow for the next couple of weeks.

But if you look around, other local forums are slow as well. A few political posts here and there and that's it.

I am awaiting the forum software upgrade. It is behind schedule....WAAAAY behind schedule. Once the upgrade is complete, I will be completely renovating the forum, top to bottom.

Don't discount tupeloforums.com because it's slow. It will pick back up especially after the upgrade. These things happen, it will pick back up.

It just seems like nothing's happening in the world..the whole world got slow..It's like there's nothing but SPAM in the media. Nothing new under the sun, so therefore nothing new worth talking about..

I remember when we used to brag about going from a 80 MHz processor to a freakishly fast 85 MHz chip. Damn, that's fast!

We couldn't wait until Bushmaster BBS caught up and upgraded from 28.8 kbps modems to 33.6, what a drag it was to be choked down to 5 k slower!

I guess nothing going on is worth complaining about or bragging about. With only one or two exceptions, you could read the same issue of Daily Journal or Time magazine or dailyrotten.com and get the same content..Gas prices fluctuate but creep up, troops get killed somewhere for questionable reasons, a bunch of old people you never heard about died from natural causes..It's been the same basic stories for the last 20, 30, 40, whatever years...it's almost like what they say about Shakespeare is true, he wrote all the stories and people have just been reworking them to fit the times.

Now that school's out, I'll be going even more insane crawling with small people. I mean actual, real small people and not the imaginary ones. Don't know if I'll be posting more or crazier stuff, but we'll have to see..

I don't think it is slow at all-- I think it is pretty fun but then that's just me --a lump of clay keeps me entertained. ;D
