My wife carried our little tike to our daughter's apartment here in Tupelo to trick-or-treat with our grandson (they are about the same age). After they had made their rounds and returned to the apartment my wife heard a knock on the door and opened it. In walked a black man wearing a hood pulled down so they all they could really see was his eyes. He just stood there looking at them and said in a low voice, "Got any candy?" My daughter called for her boyfriend, who was in another room. Her boyfriend is a huge guy and when he walked out the intruder left. At that point they noticed that a second black man had been standing outside the door the entire time. It scared my wife and daughter half to death. Had I been there I would have immediately called the police. I wonder what those two guys had in mind had not my daughter's boyfriend been there.

that is a scary thought Rat. I hope you have cautioned your wife and daughter about the dangers that lurk in the very world we live in. I am not one for gun control, or should I say used to not be, but my daughter took a job in Memphis as a nurse and drives it every work day. It's dark when she goes in and dark when she gets off, (dark driving through Memphis) She has had several "strange" incidents and now carries a gun. At first I couldn't stand the idea, but after some of the horror stories, I now insist she carries one.
