Besides Jesus Christ, who is your personal hero? And Why?

K/R, Great Question, and a Good Game. But I have to ask, what is the interpretation of "Hero"? Is it someone we know? Is it Someone that over come personal Traggities? Is it a T.V. persona? Is it to be Fictional? First Responders are Generally Our Hero's, thats Easy. ;D One of my Personal Hero's would be "Rick Allen" of Def Leppard. He over came the loss of a Arm. And Continued to do what he Loved to do. D/S

You have to define your own hero, DS. I excluded Christ because that is the obvious answer for Christians. Otherwise, the sky is the limit........

Now this is a Hero..... Here is a tough, but heartwarming story and a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq. John's wife, Mindy, related that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute her also and shot her in the head but they failed to kill her. She was cared for by John's hospital and is healing up, but has been crying and moaning. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both sleep in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing. *He is a real Star of the war and is representative of what America is trying to do.

Wouldn't it just be great if the media showed us some of that, DS? I'd be willing to bet that there are plenty more people just like John serving in Iraq but we never hear of them. Just think if THAT picture would make the cover of TIME. But, no, America is the bad guy and our soldiers, in the words of Jack Murtha and many other democrats, are criminals.
