Those wacky Europeans have done it again. The EU has started a project where they remove every single traffic sign and traffic regulation in a city and let the drivers just work things out themselves. There are no signs period. No direction signs; no street name signs; no speed limit signs; no stop signs. nada.
And there are no rules. None.
According to "traffic psychologists" the imposition of regulations just makes drivers angry and makes them want to break the rules. For example, their traffic shrink said that making a driver stop at a crosswalk just makes that driver want to do everything he can to prevent pedestrians from crossing the street anywhere there is not a crosswalk. Putting up a traffic light just makes the driver want to race through it on yellow.
So, the solution to dealing with drivers who violate the rules is to get rid of the rules. After all, it is the rules that are the problem ain't it? If there were no rules there would be no rule breakers. And who can argue that a society without rule breakers wouldn't be better?
They are smarter than us - those Europeans. Just ask 'em. Or ask the democrats who keep telling us we should be more like them.

But maybe they're on to something here. I say we get rid of all those psychologists. Then we wouldn't have any crazy people.
