100 degrees. UGH! I would encourage everyone to remain hydrated. Especially if you are spending any amount of time outside. I'm just watering my yard and quickly becominga giant ball of sweat....UGH!

In all my 42 years, this is definitely the hottest I have ever seen it get.

90 degrees is hot to me. I'm most comfortable at about 65 degrees. But, of course, I'm a yankee... or a damn yankee as my coworkers are fond of calling me since I live here and am not just visiting.
My northern bred body just cannot withstand this heat. My yard has gone unmowed for about two and a half weeks now because if I spend more than a few minutes outside I start to feel sick. I just realized, also, that there have been warnings to not go outside for more than a few minutes at a time on the news.

Watering your yard reminded me of something funny. A few months back I bought a new riding mower (splurged for a John Deere) and have only had to use it once. My grass is an ugly shade of brown.
Two days ago I dumped some water out on the ground and later that day noticed how green the grass was in that spot. Man, I thought, that grass responded super fast. So I dragged out the sprinkler that evening and turned it on. Within minutes the grass was green again everywhere the water hit it.
That's when I realized I was just washing off the dust.
