Yet another caught-and-released child predator has re-offended.
The botched child abduction by a registered sex offender at Verona earlier this week is just one more example of how our judicial system ignores the threat from these "rehabilitated" monsters. The child was just a bit younger than my own daughter.
Hats off to the child who knew to scream and run away AND to the bystander who followed the "rehabilitated" monster so the police could catch him.
But of course our courts will shake a finger at him and tell him to behave. He'll promise to be good and go right back out on the streets after another child.
And no doubt some will defend him. After all, he didn't ACTUALLY molest the child because she escaped.
I don't know which sickens me more: A child predator or those who defend him.

It don't matter that he did not actually molest the child King Rat, the very fact that he approached the child with the INTENT to molest is enough to return his hide to jail. He proved himself not rehabilitated.

But what if he says he sorry, rutrow? And really seems to mean it? Do you condemn a man who just made a tiny little mistake? Had the system not failed him the first time he was arrested for fondling a child - had he been "rehabilitated" instead of punished, in other words - he might not have acted on his urge to molest a little girl. How many second chances should the system get to rehabilitate a child molestor before the poor man is left alone and allowed to make a mistake every now and then? We all make mistakes, you know, and a person's life shouldn't be ruined because of it. Especially when our system fails them so.
ARRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't do it! I just can't make myself be a smiling, love-everyone-regardless liberal rat! Put the freak in prison and throw away the key.
Sex crimes against children should carry a mandatory death penalty.
Murder of a child should carry a mandatory death penalty.
Violent physical abuse of a child should carry a mandatory death penalty.

I absolutely agree ... with one stipulation. I must be a slow and painful death.

And since the jails are overcrowded I agree give them the fast track to death. There isn't nothing as sorry as a sick SOB who even thinks about touching a child!

Most of these sickos have been molested themselves as children. However, it is NO excuse to molest others when grown. It is a choice they make when they grow up. Notice this is the excuse given when they get caught. Look at Foley. One of the first things that came out of his mouth was that he was molested by a priest, and even declined to name him. He is not serious about stopping molestation. What's worse, is that he was suppose to head the committe to protect the children. Classic fox in the henhouse scenario. Foley isn't the only sicko in leadership position. Some people think because they were molested, that it gives them the green light to molest. NO It does not!
There are many molestation survivors who make the conscious choice to get help for themselves for what has happened to them when they were a powerless child, and do not pass on this wicked deed to others. I will agree to attempts of rehabilitation only 1 time.
Although the death penalty seems like a good deterent for molesters, we must also remember that there are many men who are falsely accused by vindictive women and teenagers who cry wolf when they do not get their way. Surely in this nation of educated people there is a way to evaluate this a little better than we have now.

I'm not talking statutory rape, which to me is a different crime if there are only a few years between the ages. And I'm not talking about the poor kids in a divorce situation. I'm talking about the 1000's upon 1000's of men who molest and rape children get out and do as bad or WORSE the next time around. Then have the poor pitiful me complex. No one, especially a child, should have to live with that over their heads. Kids should be protected. I can imagine the nightmares that little girl in Verona is going to have. To think how close she became to being hurt or dead, for all I know. This man should be locked up where he never gets the chance to hurt another child. The impulses will stop then. And I don't care about his rights. I don't care if he is repeatly raped in prison.

This will probably get deleted but here goes.I have the perfect punishment for child molesters. 1.Strip them of all their clothes. 2.Pour syrup, honey,or both all over them, giving special application to the crotch area. 3.Tie them standing spread eagle and immobile over a bed of fireants. 4.Walk away and don't look back. BTW,I do have a reason for feeling this way

I am just saying that sometimes there are many men are wrongly accused and spend time in jail for something they did not do, along with the stigma of being a child molester, when in fact they have done nothing of the sort. This is what I am talking about. The true molesters...well they can lock em up and throw away the key for all I care. This particular man who tried to get that little girl, he had his chance to reform himself and get counseling. He did not and he should be back in prison away from children. Period. He blew his chance to turn his life in the right direction and to do what is right.

I talked with a man who deals with the scum we are talking about. And he said that re-hab and counseling worked 2% of the time. So 98% of the time they continue ,at some point, back into a molester. I couldn't do his work and talk to the slimeballs like he does trying to reform them. He also said nearly all of them claim to be molested as children and are repeating the pattern. Which I think is a cop-out. I know of people who had the worse childhood ever and they don't repeat the pattern.
