Responding to a question on Fox News Sunday, this weekend, in which host Chris Wallace cited a study which concluded that military recruits tend to be more educated than the general population, Rangle (D-NY) said:
"If a young fellow has an option of having a decent career, or joining the Army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq. If there's anyone who believes these youngsters want to fight, as the Pentagon and some generals have said, you can just forget about it. No bright young individual wants to fight just because of a bonus and just because of some educational benefits,"
Basically he is mimicking John Kerry but, unlike Kerry, Rangle is standing by his statement and not claiming it was a "botched joke". When Rangle denounces our military he means it.
With democrats in charge of congress, our troops need our showing of support now more than ever.
