With a successful ban on smoking under its belt, the city of Tupelo will now tackle the touchy subject of race relations. Is there really such a problem between the races in Tupelo that a committee (and tax dollars, no doubt) is needed to study it?
Public input is "invited", according to the article on WTVA.com. I wonder, really, how a true dialog on race can be conducted given today's politically correct oversight? Perhaps Councilwoman Deas will introduce a reparations ordinance to the Council.
Or is this just a token measure to appease the NAACP after the Hall demotion?
