There is alot going on at the Daytona Speedway getting ready for the Daytona 500 and I know some of you have been going through withdrawls since Nov. when the last race was held at Homestead. Here is the schedule for Speedweek so you can get your fix or if you haven't been following testing.
Feb 11th the Bud Shootout, This is a braging race for all drivers who won a pole last year and for past champions to see who is ready for the 500.
Feb 12th Qualifying, They only qualify for the top two spots on this day and to see how they will line up for the duel races.
Feb 16th The Gatoraid Duel Races. These races will determine how the cars will line up for the 500, this is the only race that they do this. usually very good races.
Feb 17th The Craftsman Truck series start here with the Daytona 250. Lots of excitement during all Truck races.
Feb 18th The Busch Series start here, with the Hershey Kissable's 300. This series is usually very exciting since alot of these driver are trying to showoff and get a ride in the premire Nextel.
Feb 19th is what some call the Super Bowl of NASCAR The Daytona 500.
