A couple of years ago they interviewed Ice Cube on NPR's All Things Considered and they played excerpts from some of NWA's music. It was surreal to hear hard-core rap music instead of Beethoven and Rachmoninoff. Day before yesterday, ATC was interviewing the Beastie Boys about their new concert movie,"I F-ing Shot That!". The hammer of God dropped on me when I heard,"So, you've been making music for 25 years now. You wrote your first album,'License to Ill' 20 years ago, how has your music matured?" Holy crap! 25 years, 20 years?!? I talked about it to a kid at work...sigh. I told her that "You've Got to Fight for the Right to Party" was "our" song in high school. She said she was barely alive then. D*mn! Oh yeah, Motley Crue is now in the "Classic Rock" section at Best Buy. If you think I'm making you feel oldermore mature, you're welcome! ;D

Heh. I'm old enough to remember when the Beastie Boys came around. I had their tape. Granted... I was only 7... but I remember. STill to this day I can put the CD in and listen to it. Not very often... just every once in awhile.
Is that how you know you're old? When the music you listened to as a kid is on the classic channel?
