Any of you reading any eBooks? Would you?
I just saw where a new eBook reader just hit the market for just under $400. It is supposed to have a new type of display that looks almost like a light gray piece of paper with black text.
Myself, I hate reading on a PC and don't think I'd care for this new gadget either. Part of the joy of reading is the heft of the book - and keeping them on the self after you're done.
Btw, I'm currently reading "1776" (guess what it's about) and find it ironic that the Tories in England reacted to the war much as the democrats are currently reacting to the Iraq war - calling England's waging of it "unjust", "unwinnable" and "illegal".

I don't mind reading things on the PC. I play on a MUSH regularly. However, I still don't like eBooks. Like you said... there's something about the heft of the book. Something about turning the pages. I would much rather read a real book.

Personally, I think it would be very strange to read a book like that, and I do love to read! However, I do love books; the more books I have, the happier I am! I think that staring at a screen would definitely cut down on the pleasure I feel when I read from actual pages.

The smell... that paper smell. I like that too.

Crimson...I didn't think about that. I do love the smell of books. Well, almost all of them. I did have a book, There's a Monster in My Pajamas, that did not smell good...lol!
