I checked out V for Vendetta at the Malco last night and I loved it. I thought it was an awesome movie. I can understand how it may not be a chick movie, even though it does have a love story, but I can't see how any guy would not love it. I've heard some bashing of the film, because it has some anti-American and alot of anti-government ideals, but you would have to be a narrow minded drone to not get past that to see the real beauty of the film. It is people standing up for what is right and taking back there country instead of letting fat cats in government run the show. I really think it is strange to call a movie with this much blood and bombs a beautiful movie, but it is a beautiful movie. I'd like to know what other people who saw the film thought?

Au contrair, to be anti-government is American. But really, we're in danger of becoming like this. Yes we have guns but our other freedoms are eroding. Artists use lies to tell the truth. Politicians use them to cover it up.

Amen, Brother Wittzo.
I have plans to see this movie. Unfortunately right now I'm too broke/busy to go to an actual theater. Odds are I'll have to just rent the DVD when it comes out. But I definately want to see it. When the preview comes on I make the wife be quiet. She hates that. =)

V for Vendetta was a good movie, not a great one, but a good one. Some say it was anti-conservative, I didn't get that vibe at all. It is definitely, anti-big brother, anti-nazi, fascist, you name it. That vibe was stamped all over the place.
The movie dragged in a couple of places, and I actually dozed off once, but it soon picked up again. I'd give it 7 out of 10.

Crimson You are right about prices, I think it cost me almost $15 bucks for one ticket and 1 coke/popcorn combo the other night. I can afford that for me, but no way I could flip the bill for a big family. Its a shame that it is so much more affordable to rent movies, cause seeing them at the movies is so much better.
Wittzo, nice to see you paid attention in class, that is a nice quote.
