I saw the 2 hour premiere of Threshold on CBS last night. Overall, I thought this was a pretty good show. It's somewhat similar to Lost, but way more heavy on science fiction/alien stuff ala X-Files. The premiere had several jump scares, and was actually kinda gory and bloody for a prime time show, no worse than CSI though.
There were a couple of overacting moments, but for the most part it was better than I expected.
The story so far is that some kind of alien or alien intelligence is sending out a signal that changes human DNA structure which causes deformities, madness, you name it, it does it. 7 to 10 people were know nto be infected by it, but by the end of the premiere it appears that a couple of hundred people have been exposed to said signal. A team of scientists led by a "Worst Case Scenario" specialist is trying to figure out what is going on.
I admit, I was worried, several B-List actors are involved including a midget...yes a midget, but he's actually a pretty good actor. Overall I give the season premiere a 7 out of 10. I am docking points for overacting and crappy CGI effects! The effects look bad even for television, but the storyline is engaging so far.

I hated that threshold got canned. I like it, I'm shocked that sci-fi didn't pick it up. I think it would be perfect for their fans, it was too sci-fi for regular TV.

Yeah, I agree. CBS is no longer allowed to handle any sci-fi stuff.
