PARTS OF AREA FEELS NEW MADRID EARTHQUAKE
People across north Mississippi say they felt the magnitude 4.2 earthquake that shook the ground along the New Madrid Fault.
The quake happened Thursday morning, and it was centered in northeast Arkansas.
Reports to the U-S Geological Survey indicate weak shaking was felt in places like Tupelo, Pontotoc, New Albany, Corinth, Ripley and Oxford.
That was not enough to produce any damage.

I persoanlly did not feel it here in Oxford though according to WMC TV 5 out of Memphis some people here in Oxford felt it. I first knew a eathquake had hit was I had my tv on channel 5 and the Mayor of Shelby County(county in which Memphis is located) appeard on tv in a special report shortly after 11 am.

I was in Tunica, didn't feel a thing. got a little big on edge when I saw it on the news 20 minutes late though.

I'm late with the reply since I just joined. But we felt it. I asked my spouse what it was and he said earthquake. I thought he was just teasing. Until it was reported. It wasn't scary I went thru the tornado a couple of years ago with 8 kids in the house. (That was horrible)
