wittzo- Now back in my day, I can't say that a certain someone didn't act quite the hooligan at the mall...maybe that's why they closed the windows at Ruby Tuesdays for a while? ;D I was just too jealous of the guys who could wear black trenchcoats and get away with it without being posers....It was all about the black tee shirts.
now whom are you talking about? and what are talking about?

As most of you know, I'm "kid poor". So I asked 14 different teenagers last night about the mall. The girls reported that they have never had a problem with anyone that was in security. The boys said (5 boys) that one of them was booted for being loud and hollaring and two others said they were followed but wasn't harassed. The other two are instigators who in my opinion put others up to do the dirty work of trying to be kicked out. One of the instigators said if they could be threw out in front of a whole group of children it gave them something to talk about the next week. AND they sometimes try to top it without breaking the law. And I asked them if it mattered what you were wearing and one of the little darlings said no because four of them went in dressed as girls and only got threw out when they made a pass at one of the security guards and the others took a picture with their phones to pass it around. Two of the girls said they saw some guys being told to leave and to them it seemed like there wasn't a reason for it, they said the guys weren't bothering anyone.

Back in the day, the "hoods" wore black trenchcoats and black teeshirts. They were Goths before they were called Goths, but they weren't as well read, either. They also weren't as Emo. They didn't wear black eyeliner and the most radical piercing a guy would have was a lone earring on the "right" ear.
There wasn't security at the mall or at least it was unobtrusive when it opened, that was before there were many reservists, if any.
Me and my buddies were usually good ole polite country boys but we would have been booted out if we got caught on some occasions.

I remember when I was a teenager, probably around 12 years ago or so. And I had this really weird friend. We were both art student/art majors. He would always wear something that could only be described as a cloak. It had no sleeves, but arm holes, and it was of couse hooded. Well he would wear this thing everywhere regardless of summer weather or not. He was goth before it was ok to be goth. Lots of piercings and spiked multi colored hair. Well we would go to the mall for some reason or another and security always made us leave. They said that he was scaring people and the merchants were afraid that he would shoplift. Of course we always found this funny as he was the most harmless guy I have ever known. Then they were actually judging a book by its cover. Not sure about what goes on there now, as I avoid the place if at all possible.

This truly shows your age, Trenchcoats. lol In my day we road around, picked up young women(minded i'm 16 at this point). and partied hard. When I got older(18) I hung out at BARS, picking up older women. they buy all you want to drink. This was when drinking age just turned 21. And yes I was and still am a HOOD. So would you rather your kids hang out at a mall. or a BAR? ??
