Just happened to stop by site on lunch hour...beware of anyone by the name of Posey or Petit (Janet or Jennifer)major, major scam! She was an ebay seller who just sells stuff that is donated....She claims to be a mom of 4 relocated to Saltillo from Bay St. Louis or around there. If you ask around you will find quite a few taken in...I am still considering pressing charges! There are so many with legitimite needs and she is NOT one of them...

Soooo sorry if I was not clear...no, I was not referring (or any of us) to you, we are talking about "Leigh" Posey of Saltillo...I was badly scammed by Janet Posey/Jennifer Petit from Saltillo...there was a whole thread about it a few weeks ago...She got me for Walmart & Jc Penney cards as well as boxes & boxes of stufff...turns out she is not an evacuee & is scamming left & right, possibly to sell on ebay. Pls. forgive me, I meant no ill will, I have read many of your postings & you are a tremendous human being who has done much to alleviate the suffering of others..so, thank you & sorry for the misunderstanding...thank you for affirming that, kmsampler....think I better just stick to work at lunch from now on

I am so confussed by all these posts - so besides all the money and stuff she scammed from people, has this woman actually recieved a baby from someone? Seems like there would be some organization that could step in and help her children. I got the link to this group from free cycle, I didn't come to do any complaining, I just wanted to learn more about tupelo, I have had no dealing with the janet lady, but I have with the lady Sarah who was mentioned, she seemed nice enough - sorry to disrupt your thread - but someone, a few pages back mention getting a civial warrent - seems like that would be in all of your best intrests at this point. Just had to stick my 2 cents in!

Lorri, from what I gather XXXXX is Janet ex-husbands wife and Janet's best friend at one time. I don't know of her scamming except where she picked up a playpen in Batesville for Janet. And from what I was told she donated it to a man who needed it, after she found out Janet was selling the items. XXXXX lives in Sardis and I think Janet has used her name, but I have no proof of this either. It is a gut instinct only. No basis for the feeling and my opinion only.

I got a question ?? What makes you so sure that all of these alias' are Janet? Do you just suspect they are or do you have something you are not adding or telling? I went to some of these sites mentioned and personally nothing stood out that would make me think they were the same person. What am I missing?

Other then the fact that we have IP's that trail back to her, have had phone conversations with her where she has called and others have called her, Instant messages and phone conversations where she has admitted things, she leaves email addresses, addresses,phone #'s, post pictures on her website with email addresses, screennames. Where she was an Avon lady (fact), member of free cycle (fact), member in the adoption world (fact) member in the surro world (fact) has two girls (fact), husband named james(fact), phone numbers posted (fact and verified).

Say these post weren't from Janet and they have stretched over a long period of time, why would she continue to leave such a trail, esp when she is wanting to adopt?

Do we check out every prospective adoptive parent we meet??? not at all. But with Janet, she layed out the lies and got caught.

Adoption is a very very emotional journey. It is one thing to have con artist screwing with peoples emotions and pocketbooks, but a whole other thing when it comes to a prospective adoptive parent who, for some dumb reason, to play off as a potential expectant mother who is looking to place her baby. How sick is that?

I think it is time for Janet to carry the burden of proof. She needs to answer a whole lot of questions and get help for her mental disability. It is time for the proper authorities to take this proof and check it out.

Did she collect for the March of Dimes? Did she turn the money in??? Anyone want to take a vote on that?

And also, in Saltillo MS, it is my understanding that the churchs, and community resources have Janets name and/or picture and are told not to give to this woman.

Special Agent John Quaka (FBI) has a file. Her local sherriff has a file. I was told that they get calls daily on Janet, and they were getting them before the woman in adoption started calling them.
