The gal in this posts does background checks in the adoption world. Janet Posey was posing as an adoptive mom name lilygirl(email addy Sunntanway2go@aol) and asked for her help. Read the full link. Because when it comes down to it Janet supposedly gave this birthmom $5000 to adopt her baby(Janet says she has the receipts to prove it). Which by the way is baby buying and illegal.

Lily (aka janet posey) came to Kelly and I asking for help. she stated she was Lily from Florida. She stated to us as she did on these boards and others that she thought she was being scammed. We agreed to help find out.
In the end, because of what lily was claiming, I called the pbmom and let her believe that I was a pap interested in talking to her. Not a bmom as Janet just posted above.
Janet and the pbmom told me that she was in contact with A Labor of Love in IND. I then made a call to them, as did Janet and they had worked with this bmom when she did her last placement. Wendy at Labor of love was awesome in helping me to figure this out.
On this board when "lily" Janet posted she was very vague, and she was like that with Kelly and I. which caused us to question Lily just as you guys all did.
Janet told Wendy her "real" name, and when Wendy told me,,,,,,,,I was FLOORED as I knew Janets past dealings on the adoption boards trying to play off as a pbmom, a pap, and on surrogacy boards as a psurrogate, and as a person who is interested in hiring a surrogate. When I told Wendy what and who Janet was, I then 3 wayed a call with Kelly and then between the both of us we were able to educate Wendy on how Janet works. Poor Wendy kept saying "Is there a camera here taping me???"
She also used the AIM screenname momsglassangel and many many others. If you googled her, you will find quite the history of her scams. BTW Janet, I too kept all coorespondence with you, esp after I realized who you were. I am not a "fool".
Once Janet is caught, she trolls places, she tries and smears names, etc.....
She is on babycrowd as @ least 4 people.
She did meet Angela (the emom) off of babycrowd. Angela and her mother have told me all about what they are dealing with, and they now know who in authority to contact. They said at first Janet was very nice, and then she turned weird and scary. She usually does. Janet was trying to get them to basically "sell" the baby to her. That is why they decided to not stay in contact with Janet, told her it was over and contacted the agency "labor of love"
Now we have a young lady who is very scared because this person keeps calling her and her mom. She has sent the police to her home twice already this week.
Janet is a very troubled person and has taken this way over the line. If I was this emom I would be very scared too. Angela has to protect her baby and that is what they will do.
Lily keeps telling everyone that she has "proof" that she sent alot of money to Angela, but she has yet to provide it. She stated that she contacted the sherriff in her area but that is a lie too. He knows of her, actually plenty about her, but has not been contacted BY her.
So people, here is a real glimpse into a sick mind of a person who would like to adopt but does not have a h/s, money, or the means to parent, let alone the mental stability to parent. I shiver when I think that she might have been able to pull this off and a baby might have been placed in her home. But thank GOD Angela had enough sense to call on her Mom and ask for help because Janet was going weird on her and something was not feeling right, and also that she called on Wendy at A labor to Love.
This is a classic case of a person who wants to be a pap, and giving all of you a bad name!

All I can say is WOW!! I am totally floored. I am from Indy so when I saw this heading I started following this story. Thanks for explaining everything because I was very confused too.
What has happened to the BM? Is she ok? Makes you wonder if she will ever trust any pap after this. You know adoption can be such a WONDERFUL experience but this can sure put a bad taste in your mouth.

Oh, I am SO saddened for the poor birth mommy - how devastating... this must be hard enough on her... and now this! I just hope the Lord gives her the strength to continue with her adoption plan, but I can understand if she sees this experience as very troubling.
Eek, this gives us good mamas a really bad name. Janet is dangerous to *everyone* in the adoption/surrogate world... I just do not know how to stop her?!? If there is anything I can do, please do let me know...
