YES!!YES!!YES!!
Last night, I watched the rerun of the season premiere of LOST and the new episode. All I have to say is this is some of the best science fiction/drama on television! I literally had chills at the beginning of the season premiere. I have not had that feeling since the scene in The Matrix where they show Neo waking up and looking at his surroundings in the "real world".
Answers to many of the perplexing questions are still elusive and last night's new episodes raises even more. There is nothing like this on television. I cannot believe a television drama would make me feel like this. All I can say is that this show definitely strikes a chord with me, and I need to go buy the first season DVD box set. I hope this season keeps up the frantic pace set in the first two episodes! This really is good television!

I think TFAdmin needs a "private" moment with himself for a bit... ;D
But really, Lost is one of the best TV shows I've seen. I'm in the middle of disk 4 of the DVD set. Some people have been talking about "inaccuracies" in the show.
Rule of Television Watching #1: It's just a TV show. Rule of Television Watching #2: Everything that happens is just a plot device or misconception being spread by the writers or directors..
The passengers were flipping out about Locke having his knife collection with him. The only thing I objected to were the large number of crappy flea market "Made in Pakistan" funky colored knives he had..I was dissapointed that he had such low quality junk blades, but he started to use quality knives later..It was weird that he packed his whole collection, but see rule #2
Federal law enforcement are allowed to carry guns on a plane, especially US Marshalls. The US Marshalls are actually the agency in charge of law enforcement in the TSA, the "Air Marshalls", it wouldn't be any problem at all for the Marshall to be packing. He even could have had all his guns in carry-on baggage as long as they were unloaded and the proper forms were filled out.
Guns in cases can be checked in as baggage. Hunters and competition shooters do it all the time. They have to be unloaded in a locked case and the security people at the airport have to fill out a special form after they inspect them to make sure they are unloaded.
Fire works aren't allowed at all, though...it would have been better if they used flare guns instead, there are a few of those tucked away in planes, as well as fire axes..
So what would you do if you were in that situation? Stranded on an island with 50 strangers and limited resources?
The people on "Lost" are doing everything right except they took too much time to find a source of fresh water. The writers seem to have done a lot of research, I especially liked it when the people on the beach had to relocate with the tide shifted. That's the reason trees don't grow thickly on the beach. Go inland, but leave signal fires and lookouts.
I would have moved off the beach and looked for fresh water sooner. I would also have sent out a scouting party to search the island to find other resources..
Another thing I would have had to do - Ginger and Mary Ann at once. ;D What happens on the island, stays on the island.

Tonight's episode was rather dull, but next week's should be incredible.
I am a little upset by the disjointed schedule ABC has adopted for the show. I mean we goa month without a new episode, then they will show one, and then another month of reruns, ad nauseum.
They need to set the schedule up like 24. They take like 3 weeks off for the entire season.

That is one of the reasons I quit watching regular, all the reruns. But if you do miss a new episode wait a few weeks and it will be a rerun!

I got the first season on DVD as a Christmas gift. I have watched all 7 discs and I want to see them all again as their is a lot of stuff that pertains to this season that I keep missing. All the online stuff about the Dharma Institute is really creepy. They sure are having fun with all the secrets.

What do you think Dharma is? I think it is a test to see how stranded people react with nature and how they get along with one another. Do you think the Others are scientest? You know they aren't animails of some kind because of the fake fur and glue that was found. What happened to that woman that was living in the hole? The one who had the baby that dissappeared?

Ok...so Hurly and Libby seem to have a thing going on...that's cool. But the real set-my-hair-on-fire moment came when Locke was talking with "Henry" and "Henry" basically said Zeke was a nobody in the grand scheme of things. There's a much bigger fish up the river somehwere. Lots of specualtion on the web about this.

Wasn't Uncle Henry in the Wizard of Oz named "Henry Gale"? And if his license expired in 2003 does that make him the other guy who was suppose to be in the hatch?
What all have you figured out on Walt?

Nothing on Walt yet, I think we won't see anymore about him until the finale. Good point mom. Something to certainly think about.

I know the connection with each other is part of the story line.
As we know news goes around the world so Hurley being on the news wasn't surprising But
Sawyer being with the lotto girl Hurley winning the lottery that the girl announced
Sawyer being in the diner where Kate's mom worked (he just happen to be there) you're kidding me
Hurley owning the box company where Locke worked and Randy had been both Hurley's boss and then Locke's boss
Eko - this is the island where his brother's plane crashed years ago
Hurley - happens to crash on an island where the numbers he won the lottery with, numbers he believes are cursed, are so significant. Not to mention the fact that he crashed on the way back from learning all about the transmission and radio tower. He is very significant to the island.
John - something/someone cured him on the island
Jack - the hatch on the island is inhabited by someone Jack knows, albeit a one-time meeting. But i think we all know there is more to that story...
Charlie - raging heroin addict and the island happens to have a crashed plane full of it
Sawyer talking to Jack about him meeting his dad
Rose is in the hospital with Jack and Shannon. You can see her sitting in the waiting room when Jack walks by Shannon and her step mom in the hallway. As of yet I don't know why Rose was there, but clearly this is another link we'll see developed eventually.
